Carbon Art boards are designed to take your surfing performance to the highest level. Our boards feature the highest strength-to-weight ratio on the market, customized flex patterns and a heavily tested construction process for ultimate precision fidelity.

Our proven research and testing in epoxy composite surfboards is extensive with a design, development and construction process years in the making. Continual refinement of leading edge techniques is maintained while retaining the best of hands on craftsmanship.

  • Strength.
    The highest level of snap resistance. Carbon Art surfboards design engineering provides for the ultimate in strength and longevity. A board that lasts, stays free of speed sapping (ugly) pressure dings and feels as good as the day you bought it.
  • Weight.
    We design our boards to have the highest cloth to resin ratio possible (55:45), which results in minimum resin weight with maximum matrix strength. Epoxy composite sandwich construction is inherently lighter, giving you decreased swing weight in fast turns and enhanced speed projection. Light as possible though is not the goal, a board that performs in all conditions while still maintaining the benefits is what we're after.
  • Precision shapes.
    Years of accumulated shaping knowledge combined with extremely fine and accurate CAD development allows shapes to be created to exact specifications. Rocker, outline, bottom and rail shape are all designed to function together perfectly for cleaner, faster, flowing curves. The whole testing process benefits from this precise tuning which is then passed on to final shapes
  • Flex Pattern tuned.
    Each of our boards is individually crafted. Through the use of performance materials and construction methods we tailor the construction of each board model and size for the ultimate in flex response and feel on the wave. Speed and projection through turns, increased drive off the bottom… try it, you'll like it.
    As a general guide we recommend the following choice of flex patterns tuned for rider weight.

    HiFlex 60-75kg / MidFlex 70-85kg / LoFlex 80-95kg

    *note recommended only (if you prefer a stiffer or softer board to fit your style of surfing then select what suits you best).

  • Cutting edge materials.
    Only the very best materials and components are used to make Carbon Art surfboards. Carbon, fibreglass, superlight core, sandwich materials and epoxy resins are all specially selected for their specific characteristics. All fibres and resins are not made equal, we specifically select the materials for each board model to further enhance performance.
  • Value.
    A refined technical performance tuned board that lasts in the heaviest wave conditions and continues to perform at its peak far longer than a standard surfboard. (plus consider the cost savings not carrying spare boards on your next island trip!)
  • Environment.
    Surfboards aren't the greenest thing on the planet unfortunately. But the epoxy resins and other materials we use contain substantially lower VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) output than traditional surfboard methods. With up to 2/3rds less VOC emissions that cause air pollution and health hazards it's got to be a step in the right direction. The more precise nature of our construction also means we only use what we need, creating less waste material.
